Vitamiinshi comes from the idea of ‘Vitamin C’ — something small that boosts your day. I replaced the ‘C’ with ‘shi’ (シ) as a playful pun, giving the name a softer, character-like sound with a subtle nod to Japanese phonetics. I also love that the character resembles a smiling emoji — it feels friendly and warm.Just like vitamins, I want Vitamiinshi to be a little dose of comfort for the soul. I believe that just as our bodies need food, our minds and hearts need art.

My very first offline event was back in 2020. I sold little to none, and honestly, it left me disheartened. But I still loved drawing—I couldn’t imagine myself staying in my full-time job forever. So I gave it another try. That’s when Vitamiinshi was born. In 2022, after the pandemic, I attended another offline event under this name, and I’ve been creating ever since.

My very first product as Vitamiinshi was a set of Genshin acrylic scannable popsockets. At first, I only made 3 pieces—then it grew to 12, then 50, then 100, and beyond. That small start really carried me far and gave me the confidence to keep creating.

I started out making fan merch, and it was such a fun way to connect with people who loved the same things as me. But over time, I discovered a new kind of joy—creating my own original designs. Building characters, themes, and stories from my imagination felt so fulfilling, and it’s become a big part of what Vitamiinshi is today.Today, Vitamiinshi aims to create a cozy and pleasant atmosphere, sharing a bit of the world we love with others through our artwork and merchandise.

Inspired by the familiar charm of dango — three colors, three personalities — Tama, Berry, and Kappa reflect different sides of human experience. Each character represents two blended ideas, because humans are never just one thing. We’re contradictions, softness and strength, joy and worry, all existing together. These characters are my way of turning personal reflections into something warm and relatable.

The Strawberry Duck Berry is inspired by the sweetness of connection and the comfort of kindness. It represents our relationship with others — warmth, generosity, and the desire to build gentle bonds. Like a strawberry, it brings small moments of joy that brighten the day. Berry reminds us that we grow through the people we love and the communities we nurture.

The Egg Bunny Tama symbolizes our relationship with money — the confusion, the learning curves, and the balance between want and need. As an egg bunny who’s still figuring things out, Tama represents the honest struggles we face while trying to be responsible adults. Tama remind us that it’s okay to grow slowly, make mistakes, and learn along the way.

The Cactus Mouse Kappa represents our relationship with ourselves — the inner battles, self-doubt, and quiet resilience that shape who we are. As a cactus mouse, Kappa looks prickly on the outside but soft and sensitive on the inside. He symbolizes the parts of us that feel vulnerable, guarded, or afraid of being hurt — yet still long for growth, warmth, and understanding. Kappa reminds us that caring for ourselves takes time, patience, and gentleness.
